Mechanised cleaning of pedestrian areas and car parks with MaxWind
Pedestrian areas, car parks and public spaces require frequent interventions to remove the dust and waste generated daily. To make these operations more efficient, the client needed a compact, manoeuvrable solution suitable for use in urban areas where access for large street machines is limited.

The challenge
The city hall needed an efficient solution for the daily maintenance of pedestrian areas, car parks, pavements, paths and other public spaces.
These surfaces are characterised by constant pedestrian traffic and by the frequent build-up of dust, sand, leaves, plant debris, packaging and other small urban waste.
Cleaning was carried out periodically, with more frequent interventions in central areas and in spaces with high pedestrian traffic.
Previously, a significant part of the operations was carried out manually, with the help of sanitation staff and conventional equipment.
This method involved multiple passes, long working times and considerable physical effort for the operators, especially when large areas had to be covered.
Main difficulties identified:
- the need for frequent cleaning of public spaces;
- areas scattered across several parts of the locality;
- limited access for large street machines;
- the presence of street furniture, kerbs and other obstacles;
- pedestrian traffic during cleaning operations;
- the need to collect several types of waste;
- the use of a large number of manual interventions.
What we needed to solve
The main objectives set for this application were:
- mechanising operations previously carried out predominantly by hand;
- reducing the time needed to maintain pedestrian areas and car parks;
- being able to use the equipment in narrow spaces and in areas with obstacles;
- increasing the area that can be maintained by a single operator;
- efficiently collecting dust, leaves and small urban waste;
- being able to intervene in public areas without using a large street machine.
The solution recommended by Komarom
MaxWind
Following an analysis of the working conditions, the Komarom Trade Invest team recommended MaxWind, a compact solution designed for the mechanised cleaning of urban spaces.
The equipment was chosen in particular for its compact dimensions and high manoeuvrability, features that are important for working on pavements, paths, in pedestrian areas, car parks and other spaces where access for a conventional street sweeper can be difficult.

MaxWind allows a single operator to carry out, in a mechanised way, operations that previously required manual interventions.
The equipment can collect the types of dirt frequently found in public spaces, such as dust, sand, leaves and small urban waste.
Its compact format makes it easier to move close to kerbs, benches, litter bins, poles and other items of street furniture.
Another important criterion in choosing the solution was the possibility of using the equipment in areas with pedestrian traffic and on surfaces where manoeuvrability is more important than the use of a high-capacity street sweeper.
The equipment's configuration was determined according to the client's specific surfaces and conditions of use.
Implementation
The implementation process:
- Needs analysis
- MaxWind recommendation
- Demonstration/
Testing - Delivery
- Training
- Support
In the first stage, the Komarom team analysed the types of surfaces that needed to be maintained and the difficulties encountered by staff in their daily work.
MaxWind was presented and tested in conditions close to real operating conditions, so that the client could assess its manoeuvrability, collection capacity and ease of use.
After the solution was chosen, the equipment was delivered to the client and the designated staff were trained in its correct use and maintenance.
After commissioning, Komarom Trade Invest provides technical support, spare parts and dedicated servicing.
The results
The introduction of MaxWind made it possible to mechanise a significant part of the maintenance operations for pedestrian areas and car parks.
A single operator can cover a larger area compared with purely manual intervention, and the equipment can be moved quickly between the different areas that need cleaning.
Main results:
- less time needed for cleaning operations;
- mechanisation of activities previously carried out by hand;
- reduced physical effort for operators;
- increasing the area that can be maintained by a single operator;
- faster interventions in areas with pedestrian traffic;
- easy access to narrow spaces and close to street furniture;
- efficient collection of dust, leaves and urban waste;
- the possibility of using the same equipment in several types of public spaces.
Testimonial
“The MaxWind has helped us make cleaning more efficient in pedestrian areas, car parks and other public spaces where access for large machines is difficult. Thanks to its compact size and manoeuvrability, we can intervene faster, with less manual effort and better results. Our collaboration with the Komarom team has been very good, from the equipment proposal and choosing the right solution through to delivery, operator training and the technical support provided. We are satisfied with the machine and with the efficiency achieved in our daily work.”
