The challenge

The client operates a production facility with an area of approximately 3,500 m², where daily activity constantly generates dust, particles and various types of solid residues.

Dirt accumulated especially around the machinery, in the work areas, on the floor and in spots that were difficult to reach using conventional cleaning methods.

Cleaning was carried out daily and, in certain areas, additional interventions were needed during work shifts.

Previously, collecting the residues involved using conventional vacuum cleaners and manual interventions, solutions that were not optimised for the specific demands of an industrial environment.

One or more operators were involved in carrying out the cleaning operations, depending on the area and the quantity of material that had to be collected.

Main difficulties identified:

the constant generation of dust and residues during the production process;
the accumulation of material near the machinery;
the need for frequent interventions;
access to narrow or difficult-to-clean areas;
the time needed to collect residues manually;
the use of equipment that was not designed for industrial demands;

The solution recommended by Komarom

Dupuy W3 industrial vacuum cleaner

Following an analysis of the type of material that had to be collected, the frequency of use and the existing conditions in the production area, the Komarom Trade Invest team recommended the Dupuy W3 industrial vacuum cleaner.

The model was chosen for its construction intended for professional and industrial use, being a suitable solution for collecting the dust and residues resulting from production activity.

Unlike a vacuum cleaner intended for general cleaning, an industrial vacuum cleaner must be chosen according to the type of material vacuumed, the quantity generated, the particle size, the frequency of use and the specific conditions of the production process.

The Dupuy W3 allows the operator to intervene directly in the areas where residues accumulate, including near the machinery, in the workspaces and in spots that are difficult to clean using manual methods.

For the client's application, the configuration of the vacuum cleaner and the vacuuming accessories were determined according to the type of residues and the areas in which it was to be used.

The right hoses and accessories allow the operator to adapt the equipment to different work points and to collect the material directly from the areas where it accumulates.

Before implementation, it was possible to test the solution under real production conditions to check the vacuuming efficiency and the compatibility of the configuration with the material that had to be collected.

In the first stage, the Komarom team analysed the type of residues, the quantity generated, the accumulation points, the cleaning frequency and how the operations had previously been carried out.

Based on this information, the Dupuy W3 was recommended and the right accessories for the application were selected.

Testing under real conditions made it possible to check how the equipment behaved with the material that had to be collected.

After delivery, the staff responsible were trained in the correct use of the vacuum cleaner, emptying the collected material, checking the filtration system and routine maintenance operations.

Komarom subsequently provides technical support, consumables, filters, accessories, spare parts and dedicated servicing.
