Professional cleaning in a school / university – IPC CT30
In an educational institution, the floors are subjected to heavy traffic every day, and the time slots available for cleaning are often limited. The client needed a compact, easy-to-use solution that would allow the cleaning of corridors and common areas to be mechanised without using large equipment.

- Solution
- Mechanised floor cleaning in a school / university
- Equipment
- IPC CT30
- Area
- approximately 2,000 m²

The challenge
The client manages an educational institution with approximately 2,000 m² of surfaces that require periodic cleaning, including corridors, hallways, access areas, rooms and other common areas.
The daily traffic of pupils or students, staff and visitors constantly generates dust, shoe marks, dirt brought in from outside and other impurities, especially in the entrance areas and in the main corridors.
Cleaning is carried out daily, with additional interventions when necessary, especially during periods of unfavourable weather conditions.
One or more operators are assigned to carry out the cleaning, and a significant part of the surfaces was previously maintained by manual methods using a mop and bucket.
Main difficulties identified:
- large surfaces distributed along corridors and across several spaces;
- heavy traffic at certain times of the day;
- limited time available for carrying out the cleaning;
- the need for interventions between periods of activity;
- spaces where large equipment is difficult to use;
- high physical effort for staff in the case of manual cleaning;
- the need for the floors to be quickly reopened to traffic.
What we needed to solve
The following objectives were set for this application:
- mechanising floor cleaning and reducing the use of manual methods;
- less time needed for daily maintenance;
- the ability to use the equipment in corridors and in small spaces;
- washing and vacuuming the floor within the same operation;
- reduced physical effort for staff;
- the ability to carry out quick interventions between periods of activity.
The solution recommended by Komarom
IPC CT30
Following an analysis of the working conditions, the Komarom Trade Invest team recommended the IPC CT30 professional scrubber-dryer.
One of the main reasons for choosing this model was its compact format, suited to environments with corridors, doors, furniture and other obstacles that limit the use of larger equipment.

The IPC CT30 allows the floor to be washed and vacuumed in a single operation, simplifying the cleaning process compared with manual methods.
Its compact dimensions and manoeuvrability allow the operator to use the equipment in corridors, hallways, access areas and other common areas of the educational institution.
Another important advantage is the ability to carry out quick interventions, including in the time slots when the spaces have to be prepared for activity to resume.
The equipment configuration was chosen according to the type of floors and the actual conditions of use.
Before implementation, it was possible to test the equipment in real working conditions, so that the client could assess the results and the ease of use.
Implementation
The implementation process:
- Needs analysis
- IPC CT30 recommendation
- Demonstration/
Testing - Delivery
- Training
- Support
In the first stage, the Komarom team analysed the surfaces that needed cleaning, the floor types, the frequency of interventions and the way staff had previously carried out this work.
Based on this information, the IPC CT30 model and the right configuration were recommended.
Testing the equipment allowed staff to assess its manoeuvrability, the cleaning result and the way it operated in the spaces where it was to be used.
After delivery, the staff responsible were trained in the correct use of the machine and in carrying out daily maintenance operations.
Komarom subsequently provides technical support, consumables, spare parts and dedicated servicing.
The results
Introducing the IPC CT30 made it possible to mechanise a significant part of the daily floor maintenance process and to reduce the operations carried out exclusively by hand.
Main results:
- less time needed for cleaning the floors;
- a larger area covered by the same operator;
- reduced use of the mop and of manual methods;
- reduced physical effort for staff;
- more uniform results on the cleaned surfaces;
- the ability to carry out quick interventions;
- washing and vacuuming the floor in a single operation;
- cleaned areas quickly reopened to traffic.
Testimonial
“The IPC CT30 has helped us make the daily cleaning of the corridors, hallways and common areas of our educational institution more efficient. The machine is compact, easy to manoeuvre and allows washing and vacuuming the floors in a single operation, reducing working time and staff effort. Our collaboration with the Komarom team has been very good, from choosing the right equipment and the practical demonstration through to delivery, operator training and the technical support provided. We are satisfied with the results achieved and with being able to keep the spaces clean, including in the short intervals between school activities.”
