Pressure washing for industrial applications – IPC PW-C55 & IPC PW-H61

In industrial environments, persistent dirt, dust, production residues and deposits on machinery or work surfaces require cleaning solutions adapted to each application. The client needed professional pressure washing equipment capable of reducing intervention time and offering flexibility for several types of cleaning.

The challenge

The client operates an industrial facility where daily activity generates various types of dirt on floors, machinery, equipment, platforms and other work surfaces.

Depending on the production area, dust, mud, production residues and persistent deposits had to be removed, and certain points required more intensive interventions.

In areas where greasy or oily deposits were present, mechanical action alone or the use of cold water did not always provide the necessary efficiency.

Cleaning was carried out periodically, with additional interventions depending on production activity and the degree of contamination of the surfaces.

Previously, some operations required several cleaning stages, manual intervention and a long time to remove persistent dirt.

Main difficulties identified:

  • several types of dirt in the same facility;
  • persistent deposits on certain surfaces;
  • the presence of areas with greasy or oily contaminants;
  • the need for periodic cleaning of machinery and equipment;
  • a long time for interventions carried out manually;
  • the need for robust equipment for professional use;
  • different cleaning requirements depending on the work area.

What we needed to solve

The main objectives were:

  1. less time needed for cleaning operations;
  2. efficient removal of persistent dirt;
  3. less mechanical intervention and manual effort;
  4. the use of solutions adapted to different types of contamination;
  5. the possibility of cleaning machinery, equipment and work surfaces;
  6. the choice between cold-water and hot-water cleaning depending on the application.

The solution recommended by Komarom

IPC PW-C55 & IPC PW-H61

Following an analysis of the working conditions and the different types of dirt, the Komarom Trade Invest team recommended two professional pressure washing solutions: IPC PW-C55 and IPC PW-H61.

The two machines meet different requirements and allow the client to choose the right method depending on the surface and the type of contamination.

IPC PW-C55 – professional cold-water cleaning

The IPC PW-C55 was recommended for operations in which the action of pressurised water is sufficient to loosen and remove the dirt.

The machine can be used to clean industrial surfaces and equipment, platforms and work areas, depending on their compatibility with pressure washing.

It is a suitable solution for frequent interventions where cleaning power, mobility and professional use are required.

IPC PW-H61 – professional hot-water cleaning

For the areas where the client was dealing with persistent dirt and greasy or oily deposits, the IPC PW-H61 was recommended.

Using hot water can make it easier to loosen certain types of contaminants and can reduce the time and effort needed for cleaning compared with using cold water alone in such applications.

The PW-H61 is thus used at the points where the water temperature is an additional advantage in the cleaning process.

By using the two types of equipment, the client can adapt the working method to each application, without using a single solution for all types of dirt.

The configuration, accessories and working parameters were determined according to the surface being cleaned, the type of contamination and the requirements of each work point.

Before implementation, it was possible to test the solutions under real conditions to check the result on the existing dirt.

Implementation

The implementation process:

  1. Needs analysis
  2. Dirt type analysis
  3. PW-C55 / PW-H61 recommendation
  4. Demonstration/Testing
  5. Configuration
  6. Delivery
  7. Training
  8. Support

In the first stage, the Komarom team analysed the types of surfaces, the nature of the dirt, the frequency of interventions and how the cleaning operations had previously been carried out.

Based on this information, the applications in which cold-water cleaning is sufficient were identified, as well as those in which using hot water can offer an advantage.

Testing under real conditions made it possible to choose the right working method and accessories for each application.

After delivery, the operators were trained in the correct use of the equipment, selecting the working parameters and carrying out routine maintenance operations.

Komarom subsequently provides technical support, accessories, consumables, spare parts and dedicated servicing.

The results

Introducing the IPC PW-C55 and IPC PW-H61 enabled the client to adapt the cleaning process to the specific type of dirt and to each work area.

Main results:

  • less time needed for certain cleaning operations;
  • more efficient removal of persistent dirt;
  • reduced manual effort;
  • faster interventions on compatible machinery and surfaces;
  • the possibility of using cold water for routine operations;
  • the possibility of using hot water for applications where the type of dirt justifies it;
  • greater flexibility in choosing the cleaning method;
  • the use of equipment designed for professional applications;
  • more consistent results in periodic maintenance operations.

In industrial pressure washing, the result should not be assessed exclusively in m²/h. The type of deposits, the time needed to clean a machine or an area and the number of interventions needed to achieve the desired result are also relevant.

Testimonial

“The IPC PW-C55 and IPC PW-H61 machines have helped us make the cleaning of machinery and surfaces in our production facility more efficient. Being able to use cold water for routine cleaning and hot water for greasy or stubborn deposits gives us the flexibility we needed, reducing intervention time and staff effort. Our collaboration with the Komarom team has been very good, from identifying the right solutions and testing the equipment through to delivery, operator training and the technical support provided. We are satisfied with the equipment’s performance and with the results achieved in our maintenance work.”
